GTL Workshops

The purpose of the workshops are to help identify and roadmap those issues in data collection, management, and analysis (July 22); the use of high performance computing in modeling and simulation (July 23); the use of high performance computing in structural prediction (July 24) that are critical to the success of the Genomes to Life (GTL) program (http://doegenomestolife.org).

Workshop Dates:

Data and Tools Workshop, July 22, 2003
Modeling & Simulation Workshop, July 23, 2003
Computational Protein Structure Prediction, July 24, 2003

Participation in each workshop is by invitation only.

The workshops are sponsored by the Department of Energy Offices of Advanced Scientific Computing Research and Biological and Environmental Research.

The 20 invited participants will be asked to address the cross-cutting GTL tool and data needs of the four proposed GTL facilities, the five large GTL projects currently funded, and the larger DOE biology community. The results of this workshop will be published in a report to DOE.
