Discussion.

This study presents results of the combined analysis of all workers employed for at least thirty days at one or more of the four nuclear industry facilities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Numerical and graphical summaries based on Poisson regression methods that effectively describe the joint influence of several risk factors on cause-specific mortality were presented. The primary focus of this report was on the statistical aspects of this multiple facility analysis. A detailed account of the nature and extent of the radiation hazards and monitoring programs is presented in a companion report [2,3].
