A Trace Daemon (TRACED) Traced gives a snapshot every .1 seconds of a network transfer between hosts specified in a configuration file. This means you can see the value, or change in value, for selected web100 variables listed in traced.conf. For further information see: http://www.csm.ornl.gov/~dunigan/netperf/web100.html All software written for research purposes is in constant flux and must come with the usual disclaimers. What you are seeing is a snapshot in time as, most certainly, we are currently modifying it to try out new ideas. This software comes with NO WARRANTY! contents -------- - README_TRACED - source code: traced.c tracedsubs.c - traced.conf: a sample configuration file - traced-make: a sample makefile requires -------- - a machine running a kernel.org linux-2.X.XX kernel with the latest web100 patches applied and the web100-userland api installed-- (http://www.web100.org)(You may need to alter the makefile to point to your userland installation) feedback -------- We are interested in your feedback and the results of any tests you may run.
