Coordination of highlights, 1-pagers and other special reporting to DOE. Direction of CSM and (up until 2006) CCS websites, portions of ORNL public website, and the DOE Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC) website. Organization of 2006 and 2007 SciDAC conferences for DOE, coordination of media relations (since 2001) for the SCxy ACM/IEEE conference series. Oversight of ORNL/CSM exhibits (through 2005) at conferences such as SCxy and other special events. Subject Matter Expert for Export Control of High Performance Computing for ORNL.

Subject Matter Expert for Export Control of High Performance Computing for ORNL. In 2000 UT-Battelle replaced LM-ER as DOE contractor.

Supervision of PhD-level consulting staff. Responsibility for usage policies. Stewardship of CCS website. (CCS was incorporated into CSM during 1999.)

Operational responsibilities for division. Stewardship of CSM website. Coordinating ORNL exhibits at SC98 and SC99.

Supervision of staff of PhD researchers. Administration of user accounts and usage policies for CCS parallel supercomputers. Coordination of ORNL exhibits at conferences such as SuperComputing. Management the CCS website (over 2,000 pages). Lockheed Martin Energy Research, Inc. (LM-ER) replaced MM-ES as DOE contractor during this period.

Providing installation, maintenance, and user support for graphics software on more than twenty mainframe computers (MVS, VMS, DEC, and CRAY) serving 15,000 employees at MM-ES Tennessee operations. Responsible for budget of over $800K.

Instrumental in bringing state-of-the-art and publication-quality graphics to UCC-ND and in establishing a computer graphics section in the Graphic Arts department of ORNL. Supervised section growth from two to eight programmers. In 1984 MM-ES replaced UCC-ND as DOE contractor.

Led development of system generating over $700K in project-life savings for the DOE. Developed training program to introduce new technology. Coordinated computer graphics acquisitions (over $3M) and promoted applications within UCC-ND, developing and teaching classes.

Technical programming, including: binary data manipulation for ORELA linear accelerator, matrix calculations for ORMAK tokamak, adding contouring capability to Thermonuclear/Magnetics simulations, and developing software and training for a divisional Procurement database module

Including: Computer lab assistant, contract programming for Physics, Business, and Music departments.
