Computational Protein Structure Prediction
July 24, 2003

7:30 a.m.Continental Breakfast
8:00 a.m.Welcome, Introductions, and Mission of the Workshop
8:15 a.m.Overview of the GTL Program and Four Proposed Facilities
8:30 a.m.Introductory overview of one view of the current state-of-the-art of computational protein structure prediction
9:00 a.m.Open discussion of outstanding technical challenges and near term goals for computational protein structure prediction for the GTL program
9:30 a.m.Break
9:45 a.m.Half the participants present their single slide on their vision of the key technical challenges of computational protein structure prediction for GTL and describe how it complements, adds to, or contradicts the discussion so far (5 minutes each). Each followed by short short discussion by attendees.
11:45 p.m.Working Lunch
12:15 p.m.Second half of participants present their one slide again followed by a short discussion of each by the attendees.
2:00 p.m.Summary of key points made by the participants
2:30 p.m.Break
3:00 p.m.Discuss the creatin of whitepaper incorporating the results of the workshop. Identify gaps in present GTL protein structure prediction capabilities. Suggest potential near-term and long-term goals for the community to create new tools for protein structure determination to meet GTL challenges and goals. Issue an invitation to participants for comments.
4:30 p.m.End
