OSCAR Software

OSCAR is based upon standard Linux distributions. The supported distributions/releases differ from release to release but typically include Red Hat and Mandrake with efforts to support SuSE in the near future.

The development is hosted at SourceForge. To see a listing of the releases and the supported distributions visit the OSCAR Project Page. A full software release listing is also available.

* NOTE: These early software packages use strong cryptography, so even if it is created, maintained and distributed where it is legal to do so, it falls under certain export/import and/or use restrictions in some other parts of the world. (We no longer ship OpenSSH/SSL with OSCAR since it is available with most Linux distributions.)
