Media Registration Information
Media representatives interested in attending and covering SC2006 should fill out the online form. Our Media Relations team will verify your media credentials and send you a confirmation email. The regular conference registration fee is waived for media representatives with proper credentials. NOTE: The confirmation email you receive for filling out this form is NOT confirmation of your registration--you will receive a separate email after your credentials are verified.

Media Access Guidelines
Credentialed media will have access to all invited talks, technical program sessions and exhibits. Media badges will NOT provide access to tutorials or to social events (other than the Monday night opening gala). Access to the exhibits outside of show hours requires approval of the exhibitor to be visited and an appropriately badged escort.

Who Qualifies for Media Registration
SC2006 defines media as reporters, writers, editors, publishers, photographers, or videographers assigned by a local, regional, national, or international publication to cover SC2006. Members of certain professional organizations are also included in this definition. These media representatives may be:

Limitations
A limit of two media passes will be issued per organization.

Establishing Credentials

SC2006 Press Room Information
The SC2006 Press Room will be located in Room 5, just off the lobby (to the left) in the Tampa Convention Center. All media representatives are asked to check in at the Press Room upon arrival. All Media badges must be picked up in the Press Room. If you are planning to register at the conference, you'll need to have your credentials with you when you come to the Press Room to register. See the Media Registration Guidelines for credentialing information.

We are planning to staff the Press Room during the following hours to help you with facilities, scheduling interviews, or to provide any other assistance for your coverage of SC2006. Please check the Press Room at the conference for the final schedule.

Registration Process
Advance registration must be received by 5 pm Eastern time, Friday, October 7, 2006. Registrations received after this date will not be acknowledged and must be resubmitted for processing at SC2006 at the Tampa Convention Center.

Those who register in advance may pick up their conference materials at the Convention Center in the Press Room beginning Sunday, November 12, after 1 p.m. (see Press Room hours).

Onsite Registration
Media representatives who want to register onsite should go to the Press Room, NOT to the general registration area, when they arrive at the conference. Credentials will be verified in the Press Room and registration materials will be provided.

Registration Confirmation
Written confirmation of advance conference registration will be sent by email within five days of receiving your registration AND credentials. If you need written confirmation of onsite registration, let us know at the time you pick up your badge. The list of confirmed media registrations may be viewed here.
