NOTES
Charges shown for SC96 and SC97 are actual costs; SC98 and the ones from SC99 with nothing after the decimal points are the cost estimates made at the time of ordering services.
+ 1997 was the first year they charged Research booths for floor space 1998 we had a bigger booth: 30x40, 1999 we went back to 30x30 but they upped the charge * all of these were done by rental truck and ORNL teamsters
1997 we took the KSR and the truck made a side trip to Mountain View
1998 we took two trucks to ORlando (one with the Audi in it)# show labor rules vary from city to city (as to how much we are allowed to do ourselves) $ Network costs have increased as we have outgrown the 2 free drops and started demoing clusters. I think we had some network costs in 1997, but I think someone else paid for our special lines ++ in 1997 we had a Paragon in the booth and required special power ** in 1999 they reduced how much furniture is free to Research booths
in 2K bought patio tables and charis, futon sofas, monitor wall and three lightbox pylons
in 2001 proposing to rent/buy new structure## in 2K bought the wondermat squares to replace carpet
in 2001 probably need to replace a few tiles$$ in 1999 they stopped giving free exhibit badges
in 2K exhibit badge prices went upPrinting costs for lightboxes is $444 each (at quantity 6). Costs for printing laminated paper posters is about $295 for a 3 by 6 foot poster. Fabric panels should run about $600-800 each (fabric plus printing and hopefully edge-finishing and grommeting included).
"Rule of thumb" for graphic arts cost for designing a poster is $1500 each. We had the SIX lightbox posters plus the Probe poster and EES designed by Chem Tech for ~$6500 total. (Chem Tech now has a 52" wide printer). Then we had ~NINE panels designed by graphic arts--guesstimate $13,500 for those. (No idea what the ones done by LSD cost).
