ORNL Names UT-Battelle Fellows. Intransa Appoints New VP of Engineering.

ORNL Names UT-Battelle Corporate Fellows
Three researchers at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National
Laboratory have been named UT-Battelle Corporate Fellows.
The appointees are Robert J. Harrison, Computer Science and
Mathematics; Anthony Mezzacappa, Physics; and Thomas G. Thundat, Life
Sciences.
ORNL Director Jeff Wadsworth said the Corporate Fellow designation is
the highest level of recognition for career achievements in science
and technology, performance and leadership. Awardees' contributions to
international leadership in research, new and expanded research
programs and mentoring of staff are vital to the success of the
laboratory as a whole, he said.

Intransa Appoints New Vice President of Engineering
Intransa, the global leader in network-centric, enterprise IP-storage
systems, today announced the appointment of Nitin Donde as vice
president of engineering. Mr. Donde brings more than 20 years of
experience in the computer industry shipping complex,
mission-critical, highly available, and scalable enterprise systems.
Mr. Donde has a wealth of experience in the field of clustered systems
for high-availability computing with responsibility for software
development and product delivery. Before joining Intransa, Mr. Donde
was director of system software development at Tandem Computers where
he led a large software engineering team responsible for most revenue
critical projects. Mr. Donde also held the role of vice president of
engineering and services at Insight Solutions and was co-founder and
vice president of engineering at Mobillant, where he led the
engineering team in the creation of prototype software and tools. More
recently, Mr. Donde was senior director of software engineering at
3PARdata which builds highly scalable and available storage arrays.
There he was responsible for all software product features, software
release strategy, and product delivery, taking the product from a
prototype to industrial strength, production-quality release.

LLNL Director to Lead Team in LANL Contract Competition
The University of California and Bechtel National named Michael R.
Anastasio, the director of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, as
the team leader in the competition preparations for the Los Alamos
National Laboratory.
Anastasio, a nuclear physicist, has more than 25 years' experience in
national security and nuclear weapons and has led the Department of
Energy's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since 2002. Anastasio
will lead the UC, Bechtel, BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) and
Washington Group International (WGI) team through the upcoming DOE
competition for management and operations of Los Alamos National
Laboratory.
The final decision regarding the University of California's
participation in the competition is a decision that will be made by
the UC Board of Regents following the release of the final request for
proposals by the Department of Energy.

BMC Software Appoints Former IBM Exec as VP, CTO

management team as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

NVIDIA Appoints Mark L. Perry to Board of Directors
NVIDIA Corporation, a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media
processors, announced the appointment of Mark L. Perry to its Board of
Directors.
Mr. Perry has held several senior positions at Gilead Sciences, Inc.
since joining the company in 1994, including Executive Vice President,
Operations, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General
Counsel. Mr. Perry currently is the Senior Business Advisor to the CEO
and Board of Directors of Gilead. Prior to Gilead, Mr. Perry was a
partner with the San Francisco law firm of Cooley Godward LLP.
Mr. Perry also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of
Aerovance, Inc, IntraBiotics Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he is also
chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Compensation Committee,
and Nuvelo, Inc., where he is chair of the Compensation Committee and
member of the Audit Committee.
