Dr. Jennifer Ryan is currently the
Householder postdoctoral fellow in
the Computational Mathematics Group of Computer Science and Mathematics Division. She received her BA in Applied
Mathematics from Rutgers University in Newark, NJ in 1996 and MS in
Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New
York University in 1999. In May 2003, she received her PhD in Applied
Mathematics from Brown University with Professor Chi-Wang Shu (Brown
University) and Dr. Harold Atkins (NASA-Langley) as her advisors. While
at Brown, she received fellowships from the university and NASA and was
also awarded the Stella Dafermos Award for excellence in graduate
studies.
Her research interests are in numerical solutions to partial
differential equations and accuracy enhancement techniques.
