Welcome, to my webpage. My name is Rashida Askia and I am a Research Alliance in Math and Science (RAMS) 2004 participant. I recently graduated from one of the top HBCU's (Historically Black College or University) in the country, Fisk University. I receieved a degree in the fields of Computer Science and Psychology and plan to further my education at Tennessee State University, majoring in Elementary Education. My dream is to become educator and work in under-privileged
communities and school districts in the community where I was raised, Sacramento, California.
I am participating in the 2004 summer RAMS program to give myself a better insight on what to expect if I pursued a career in the field of Computiational Sciences. I have enjoyed my work thus far and all of the experiences I've had, unfortunaltely I have chosen a different career path. Eventhough I've decided to pursue a career in Education and not Computational Science, I will always be grateful and reference back to the time spent at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. I will implement the various tools that I learned this summer to better my teaching style in the years to come.
Please indulge in the research material provided in this website.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my site!!:)
